This winter, the aid organisation SOS Balkanroute in Linz is once again collecting warm winter clothing and other essential items for refugees at the Bosnian-Croatian EU external border. The humanitarian situation on the ground remains dire, with daily police violence, homelessness and a lack of protection from the cold. Every sleeping bag, every pair of socks and every warm jacket helps people survive – you can help too. Good shoes and used but still functional smartphones are particularly needed (the data will be professionally deleted before onward transport).
