One month left to the end of the first edition of the Next Cloud Residency.
Many things happened during the all year within the Next Cloud Exhibition Folder, but it's not over yet! To close this first edition we've invited artist Stefan Klein.
Klein’s work deals primarily with complex systems that are transferred in (performative) conceptual ways - in a subtle yet interactive form. Often acting outside the conventional exhibition system, he is positioning the role of the artist in a wider social and political context with a focus onsmall gestures, minimal interventions and printed publications as a conceptual work.
Positioned at the margins of established categories, the hidden, vague and often non-tangible nature of the works create situations of uncertainty, they reveal as they conceal.
Stefan Klein received a Master in Fine Arts from the Public Arts and New Artistic Strategies Program at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. He has exhibited in various group and solo exhibitions internationally, amongst others Bregenz Biennale (2018), Berlin Biennale (2016), Galerie Daniel Marzona (2017), Kunsthalle Tropical, Island (2016), Berliner Herbstsalon (2015). In addition he had been a fellow in diverse art residencies, e.g. KW - Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2020 - 21), Fondazione Antonio Ratti CSAV , Como (ITA) (2019), ZK/U – Center for Art and Urbanism, Berlin, Fellowship at Ständige Vertretung, (2018 ) Nomad (Thinking) Residency / Artists-In-Distance, Festival Belluard Bollwerk (2017), PACT, PACT-Zollverein, Essen (2016).
