
Dr. Marc R. Dusseiller is a transdisciplinary scholar, lecturer for micro- and nanotechnology (FHNW, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland), cultural facili- tator, and artist. In his work he combines science, art, and education in DIY (do-it-yourself) workshops with lo-fi electronics, hardware hacking, microscopy, music, and robotics. He was the coorganizer of Dock18, Room for Mediacultures, diy* festival (Zürich, Switzerland), KIBLIX 2011 (Maribor, Slovenia), and as the former president (2008-12) of the Swiss Mechatronic Art Society, SGMK, he organized numerous workshops for artists, children, and schools. Currently, he is developing DIY tools and open science methodologies to support bio- and nanotechnology research and dissemination in kitchens, ateliers, and in developing countries in the framework of Hackteria | Open Source Biological Art
